Gary Oppedahl, Director, Economic Development Department for the City of Albuquerque, has been involved with business start-up activity in Silicon Valley and in New Mexico. He has also grown his own successful business. He now assists tech-transfer leaders and innovators to build a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Albuquerque. He also focuses on the commercialization of research from our national laboratories and universities to enhance job creation and business development. “We are building a community that is Quirky, Sticky and Linky to support our entrepreneurs. We are building a system that helps people identify their entrepreneurial aptitude, and supports them to be successful. We need to provide opportunities to Connect, Communicate, and Collaborate.”
