January Annual Breakfast Meeting – Entrepreneurs Stay Where the Community Supports Them

Thursday, January 21, 2016. Gary Oppedahl, Director, Economic Development Department for the City of Albuquerque, has been involved with business start-up activity in Silicon Valley and in New Mexico. He has also grown his own successful business. He now assists tech-transfer leaders and innovators to build a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Albuquerque. He also focuses on the commercialization of research from our national laboratories and universities to enhance job creation and business development. “We are building a community that is Quirky, Sticky and Linky to support our entrepreneurs. We are building a system that helps people identify their entrepreneurial aptitude, and supports them to be successful. We need to provide opportunities to Connect, Communicate, and Collaborate.”

In addition to the program by this successful serial entrepreneur, AQN will present certificates to members who have completed the first level of the Quality Certificate Program, a partnership with the Anderson School of Management at UNM.
