Making Meetings Meaningful – Ensuring Full Participation

Thursday, January 16: Kathleen Oweegon, Founder, Bridges of Peace. Meetings can be a blessing or a curse, depending on how they are designed and how they are facilitated. In this presentation, participants will learn some of the tools professional facilitators use to ensure full engagement and participation of the people attending their meetings, thereby making meetings more meaningful to all. The skills and understandings imparted in this presentation will include: Pre-meeting Engagement, Diffusing the Dominator, and a variety of useful and adaptable in-meeting engagement tools. Participants are requested to come prepared to discuss their experiences of unbalanced meeting participation so that we can explore how to apply these tools to their real-life situations.

Bridges of Peace provides training, facilitation, and mediation services throughout the U.S. and around the world. Kathleen facilitates Strategic Planning and Teambuilding sessions for several government agencies, as well as for private organizations and non-profits throughout the U.S. .
