Thursday January 21, Online via Zoom meeting: This talk will focus on vaccines, with a special focus on the COVID-19 vaccines currently approved for use under Emergency Use Authorization in the USA from Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna. The technology behind these new vaccines, potential side effects, safety data, and efficacy data will all be discussed. In addition, new SARS-CoV-2 variants (and their potential effects on vaccines) will be covered.
