Spencer Wilcox is Executive Director of Technology and Chief Security Officer for PNM Resources, a utility holding company with operations in both New Mexico and Texas. In this capacity Spencer is responsible for the strategy, architecture and operations of cyber and physical security, telecommunications, and infrastructure and end-user computing for IT and ICS/SCADA. Spencer has previously led the strategy and business operations of both IT and OT cyber and physical security, security risk and intelligence, business continuity, governance, awareness, projects, portfolio and physical and cyber strategy in energy, law enforcement and healthcare. Spencer holds certifications in cyber and physical security from (ISC)2, ISACA, and ASIS, and was named one of the 2021 Most Influential Cybersecurity Leaders by Security Magazine. He currently serves on advisory boards for the Edison Electric Institute, and the Electric Power Research Institute, and has previously served on the boards of the Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc., the Fort Meade Alliance, and the Virginia Crime Prevention Association in addition to serving as a speaker on risk, technology, cybersecurity, corporate security, and crime prevention in many venues.
