The presentation will cover PNM’s Integrated Resource Planning process and road map to a carbon free system by 2040. Included in this presentation will be a discussion of the analytical approach to the IRP (reliability analysis, economic analysis, load forecasting, etc.), the types of technologies being considered, the regulatory requirements we must meet, and challenges we foresee in completing the transition in such an accelerated time frame.

Biography: For the past four years, Mr. Phillips current serves as the Director of Integrated Resource Planning at Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM). Prior to this role he was a Principal at Brubaker & Associates. Brubaker & Associates is a leading advisor in the rapidly changing regulated and competitive energy markets. Mr. Phillips has a Master’s Degree in Computational Finance & Risk Management from the University of Washington. A Master’s Degree, Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Iowa State University, and a Bachelor’s Degree, Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
