Thursday, September 19th: David Schoenherr, Director, Surety Engineering & Weapon Quality, Sandia National Laboratories will facilitate a workshop that will focus on people and the critical role they play in effective quality management and business results. Some of the topic areas will include “Building a Winning Teams,” “Dealing with Major Change,” “Diversity and Inclusion,” and “Quality Culture.”
As Director Surety Engineering & Weapons Quality, David Schoenherr leads the team responsible for the rigorous technical assurance, analysis, and assessment of our nation’s nuclear stockpile. David previously served as Director of Quality at Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies, which manages and operates the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Kansas City Plant for the U.S. Department of Energy.
A 34-year veteran of Honeywell’s Aerospace business, David has held leadership positions in electronic products, quality engineering, telemetry, microelectronics, and radars, and has successfully lead cross-functional teams through effective process improvements and customer satisfaction efforts. He has built a reputation taking special interest in employee development and mentorship, and being accessible and active in the production and inspection areas.
David holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri–Columbia and an executive master’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Missouri and is Black Belt Six Sigma certified.
