The Importance of Getting It Wrong

Presented by Meghan Pickard

October 19th | 7:30-9:00 | Annual Breakfast Seminar

Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North
5151 San Francisco Road Northeast Albuquerque, NM 87109

Let’s have an honest conversation about failure. We all get it
wrong at some point. So why is it so uncomfortable? What
do we do when we fail? And why is it critical to lean into
getting it wrong? To impact the trajectory of your team
toward excellence in pursuit of quality, it takes failing
forward. This talk weaves the basic steps of embracing failure
to learn and improve with personal stories of failure.

Meghan is the Senior Manager of Operation Systems Excellence at Sandia National Laboratories. She has a combined 15 years of experience in Aerospace and National Security, industries that rely on high rigor quality programs. She has a bachelor’s in chemical engineering and a master’s in business. She is a lean practitioner, an agilest, and a believer in the power of the strategic use of a post-it note.
