A look at several real-life episodes of lapses in quality processes, followed by discussion on methods to engage engineers and scientists to appreciate how the output of their everyday work is influenced by things “nontechnical.”
Vaughn is a Research & Development, Science and Engineering Systems Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories with over 45 years of experience in diverse engineering and quality fields including Naval nuclear power, nuclear waste management & environmental restoration, high power laser development, advance technical systems industrial manufacturing, and nuclear weapons assurance. Vaughn has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering Technology, and Master’s in Business with a focus in Operations Management, he is a Certified Systems Engineering Professional, and certified as an ISO 9001 and AS9100 Lead Auditor.
