The ongoing pandemic has driven acute care hospitals to become more agile. Data and evidence change rapidly (sometimes daily) requiring changes to operations and policy and procedure in a very short window of time. The presenter will give examples of how and where data are gathered, aggregated and analyzed/synthesized and the decision making that is driven by those data that directly impacts patient care.
Biography: The presenter has been in healthcare for over 35 years in a variety of capacities including licensed staff respiratory therapist, fulltime faculty, educational program director, administrator in higher education, quality outcomes consultant and currently serves as director of a large inpatient and emergency respiratory therapy department.
